Two People, One Idea

Mark and Gina took a struggling antique shop and turned it into the coffeehouse Vernon didn't know it needed. It wasn't a business plan built in a spreadsheet — it was a bet on their own town, on a building with good bones, and on the idea that people just needed somewhere to slow down.

That same instinct led them to open The Place Next Door in April 2024 — an indoor market for local vendors and crafters, right beside the café. Mark put it simply: Vernon didn't have anywhere to shop for gifts and décor, so they built that too.
